Your number stays
Data-only eSIM — calls, SMS and WhatsApp keep running on your home SIM as normal.
Prices are final
Paid up front in your currency. No bill after the trip — and a 30-day refund if unactivated.
City-based stays in Toronto or Vancouver are comfortable on 2–3GB. Road trips or national park itineraries are better served by 5GB+ — some routes have no coverage for 100km+ stretches.
Your data runs on named local networks — the same ones people there use every day.
4G/LTE and 5G in cities via Bell, Rogers and Telus
Excellent in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary. National park backcountry — Banff, Jasper, Algonquin — has limited signal beyond visitor centres and main roads.
Access to supported 4G/5G networks. Coverage and speeds vary by location and network availability.
Install at home, over Wi-Fi
One tap in the app, or scan the QR code from your confirmation email. Usually a few minutes over Wi-Fi.
Land, switch on data and roaming
Turn on Data Roaming for the eSIM line. Most plans activate on the first supported network they find.
4 things nearly everyone asks before their first eSIM.
Most plans start the first time your phone connects to a supported network at your destination. When you land, set your travel eSIM as the line for mobile data and turn on Data Roaming for it.
Yes. Voyevia eSIMs are data-only — your primary SIM and phone number stay completely active for calls, SMS, and WhatsApp. You use the Voyevia eSIM for data and your regular SIM for everything else.
Most iPhones from XS onwards and many modern Android devices (Samsung Galaxy S21+, Google Pixel 3+) support eSIM. Check Settings → Cellular on iPhone or Settings → Connections → SIM Manager on Android and look for an Add eSIM option.
